The Staff Development Organisation (SDO) in the Office of the Prime Minister, Malta is responsible for training and human resource development policy in the Public Service, as well as for the Quality Service Charter initiative.
SDO organises a wide range of training programmes for public officers, including management training, language training, induction courses for newly appointed public officers, training programmes on matters relating to the European Union, and Information and Communication Technology training among others. Other specially designed programmes cater for specific ministry and departmental needs.

The Reference Library will be closed as from the end of January, 2010 until end of September due to SDO premises relocation.
