Annual Seminar for Senior Managers 2009
An Annual Seminar for Senior Managers was organised on 7 May 2009, for which two-hundred-eighty-six (286) senior managers attended. This was a new initiative, primarily driven by the need to make all Senior Managers aware of new legislation and related issues.
The Annual Seminar was addressed by Dr Godwin Grima (Principal Permanent Secretary) and was followed by the following presentations:

“The Public Administration Act” by Mr Charles Polidano (Director, Policy Research, CPRT, Office of the Prime Minister);

“The Freedom of Information Act” by Mr Mario Debattista (Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Justice and Home Affairs);
-
“Better Regulation” by Mr John Aquilina (Chief Executive Officer, Management Efficiency Unit); and
-
“Overseas Development Assistance” by Ms Christine Roberts (Development Consultant, SOS Malta).
Those present were introduced to, or refreshed their memory about the above-mentioned subjects and also had the opportunity to ask questions and forward their opinions.
